This project was made possible by the generous support of the Walter Chapin Simpson Center for the Humanities at the University of Washington, specifically the Digital Humanities Summer Fellowship Program, which I participated in during the summers of 2014 and 2017. This program supports scholars pursuing research projects that use digital technologies in innovative and intensive ways and/or explore the historical, social, aesthetic, and cross-cultural implications of digital cultures. I benefitted greatly from the feedback and encouragement of fellow faculty and graduate student participants and Kathleen Woodward, Director of the Center.

The Simpson Center also provided support for me to attend the 2015 University of Victoria Digital Humanities Summer Institute
